2016 Coming to an end!

Well 2016 was a very interesting year to say the least and now my focus is the coming year.  Here to 2017 and hopefully a new beginning of creative achievements.  I am making plans to update my Etsy shop to help me generate more sales.  I am planning on taking new pictures and reorganizing my shop with new and more unique items.

I look forward to your comments on what you think once I get it completed so keep checking back to see my process.  I also am planning on starting for the new year on my blog crafts tips and how you can become a part of the crafting world.

I would like to get started on my new quest by posting my first crafting tip:

Here is my table off my kitchen notice the natural light and work space room.
YOUR WORK SPACE
It is important to have an area that can be devoted totally to making your craft(s). My work area is off my kitchen (see picture to right) as you see it is big enough and gives me lots of room to access my tools and supplies. Good lighting is also very important.  Comfort is also very important to your creative process including a chair with back support.

And here is just some of my craft tools I use on my work table.

To make things easier have all your tools and supplies available for crafting.  Having everything you need avoids time space away from doing your craft and loseing creative time on your project. Gather all your tools and supplies needed (I make a list and check off my supplies and tools as I gather them up) I use a tote to put everything in to help reduce my having to go back and forth to set up my work area from my craft room (it helps save time).

Well check back tomorrow I will be blogging about craft rooms and storage of inventory.

Happy New Year!

It Getting Hot!

Well here it is almost June and the temperature is starting to heat up.  I have been pretty busy painting designs on clay pots for wind chimes to sell this coming fall and winter.  I also have been doing pretty good on sales at the Arizona Gift Center on Apache Trail in Apache Junction.  I just added my painted cactus and some hand painted magnets I created using air dry clay.

I also entered a contest through Fire Mountain Gems with three necklace designs.

Check these out let me know what you think about my designs!

Begining of May!

Well here it is the first day of May tomorrow!

Soon our summer heat will be upon us and time for my work to begin.  I am planning of making new and improved items for this coming fall shows.  I am also exploring new places to start selling my hand made item.

I currently am still selling some of my handmade items at the Arizona Gift Center located on Apache Trail in Mesa, AZ just east of Signal Butte.  The store is amazing with a wide variety of craft items and already made jewelry and much more from local artist and craft people.

I am seriously thinking of doing the Mesa Swap Meet on Baseline in Mesa this coming fall instead of doing any more shows at the Superstition Mountain Museum.  I had a pretty bad year there this year and have been experiencing a real slow down of customers purchasing my items.  I truly believe that those coming to the museum are doing so for the entertainment and to view the displays.  Having artist there is just a nice sideline for them to visit.

I also am thinking of doing some RV market places too.  I found the monthly market place in Apache Junction was a real winner for me this year.  I like that they don't charge us a rental fee and I have been pretty successful.  It only last a few hours from 9am-12pm.  But the atomsphere is very pleasant to be a part of.

I will keep you posted as I start working on my new creations so check back often.

New shop to find my hand made items!

Well I have a new place that you can purchase some of my handmade crafts and jewelry.  Its called Arizona Gifts located at the corner of Signal Butte and Apache Trail in Mesa, AZ.

This shop or should I say store has a wide variety of handmade items from local crafter's and artist.  It is also a great place to purchase wire, beads and unique gifts.  Jewelry displays, cases and supplies are a plenty there along with tools and so much more.

If you can stop in and take a look at what they have to offer.  It is slowly becoming my favorite place to get supplies for my jewelry making needs.

I will also be doing my last outdoor show on April 26th at Earth Park off of Superstition Blvd (by the post office in Apache Junction).  This will be the last of the farmers markets in which over 3,000 lady bugs will be disbursed as part of a special event there.  Come and enjoy the morning with all of us.

I will be working hard on some new and unique items for my upcoming fall and winter shows.  This year I am planning on doing the farmers markets again and something different I am going to try the Mesa Swap Meet on Baseline near Signal Butte.  I am also planning on doing the American Legion Christmas Bazaar, Lost Dutchman Days, and the fall and spring shows at Sunland Village off of Greenfield Rd. in Mesa.  More information will be posted when these events get closer.

I want to thank all my customers who purchased my handmade crafts I hope you will continue to be a customer and don't forget to visit my Etsy Shop and my Facebook store I will be putting some new items out there soon.

These hats are available for custom ordering on my Etsy Shop.
I am still working hard on my craft shows too.  I just had a huge one this past weekend the weather was great and there were lots of visitors. I only wish I had more sales but I did a bit better then some of the other vendors who attended the event. I plan on posting my newest crafted items.  My next event is on Feb. 5th in Apache Junction at Earth Park-Farmers Market off of Superstition Blvd. from 9am-12pm. I will have my jean purses, painted clay pot bells, wind chimes, some handmade jewelry and my paper woven purses too. If you can make it out there come and see what the event is all about.  Here is another picture of my newest jewelry items I have created for my shows.
